Natalie is a versatile musician and musical theatre teacher originally from the Bay Area who is now living in Los Angeles, and she is so excited to be teaching at Oksana School of Music & Art. Her main areas of expertise are in piano, voice and guitar. She received a BA in Theatre Arts from San Francisco State University, where she took wonderful musical theatre classes. She has additionally studied at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and the University of East Anglia in England.
She has been training privately in piano since her youth; her most recent training has been at the New World Music Academy and Blue Bear School of American Music, both in the Bay Area. Her favorite types of piano to play are Broadway and rock music, and she often serves as a piano accompanist for musical theatre.
This year she vocal directed a production of Anything Goes, and also eight musical theatre numbers for a showcase at an award-winning summer intensive called the Young Actors’ Theatre Camp. In the past few years, she has coached students to sing for master classes from industry professionals such as Jonathan Groff ( Frozen), Laura Bell Bundy ( Legally Blonde), Sutton Foster ( Thoroughly Modern Millie), and Megan Hilty ( Smash). She teaches vocal techniques as well as acting the song and connecting on a personal level to your vocal performance. Natalie is educated in the technical aspects of piano, voice and guitar as well as the gratifying performance aspect of it, and she loves to teach a blend of both these things.
