Oksana School of Music is proud to have over 30 professional and dedicated music teachers that provide expert instruction to students of all ages.
Our team of instructors are consummate professionals with years of teaching experience and degrees in their craft. We choose instructors who are positive, dynamic, and inspiring in their teaching approach. They all share the same mission - to instill in students a lifelong passion for excellence in music. Our instructors are working professionals who balance the demands of their own busy careers with their passion for teaching others. When not working with students, you might find them giving their own concerts and performances, directing a Broadway musical, attending a music festival, recording their own albums, or composing for film and television. They constantly strive to perfect their craft, and to instill that dedication in others. They bring real-world experience to their classes, and give students the practical know-how and personal mentoring they need to make it in the highly competitive music industry. This combination of performance background and commitment to teaching provides a unique learning opportunity for our students.

Rochelle C., Piano teacher
Rochelle, originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, has been a piano teacher for Oksana School of Music since 2013.
As a young child, she was inspired to learn how to play the piano after attending a friend’s recital. Rochelle fulfilled that desire through years of determination, discipline, and most of all a passion for music. Helping students discover a similar connection to the beauty and joy of music is her primary goal as a piano teacher, as she understands what a positive impact musical training can have.
In Rochelle’s case, it led to attending Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music where she studied piano, and ultimately earned a B.S. in Classical Ballet with a minor in Education. Upon graduation, she began a professional ballet career dancing with the Kansas City Ballet, and is currently based in Los Angeles as a dancer with the American Contemporary Ballet.
Rochelle enjoys teaching piano not only because it keeps her musical skills sharp, but passing those skills on to the next generation is an extremely rewarding experience. Rochelle is incredibly proud of all the hard work and dedication from all the students of this school and is excited to be a part of this Grand Recital.

Lilia B., Guitar teacher
Lilia has had a deep-seeded love of the performing arts all her life. Her artistic roots are in dance and gymnastics, which she began training in elementary school and enjoyed along competitive gymnastics career which took her to the junior national championships three times. Her interest in music sprung up in high school, when she became inspired by the guitarists and vocalists in her favorite rock bands. She took on the challenge of learning piano, guitar, and voice, and this hard work paid off in December 2014 when she graduated from California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance.
She began teaching music, gymnastics, and academic tutoring when beginning college in 2010, and immediately after graduation, expanded her work as a music teacher and professional performer. She coached the dance company of College of the Canyons in 2015 and enjoys teaching music in after school programs at the Saugus School District. In addition, Lilia has become a seasoned performance artist as the lead vocalist and guitarist of her rock band Karkaza. The band has written many original songs and is currently working on releasing an album and planning a tour that will include shows in Brazil, Europe, and the United States.
During her 6 years teaching music, sports, and academics, Lilia has had the opportunity to teach students of all ages, from preschool through senior. Her goal with teaching is to show students how tremendously rewarding it is to channel their focus and passion into a new artistic skill. She teaches students of every age and experience level how to use music as a vehicle of positive self-expression, to grow intellectually and emotionally. Rather than simply teaching the student how to play the right notes or dance the right steps, Lilia works toward inspiring the student to develop his or her unique style and intrinsic passion within whatever he or she is studying, to truly experience the personal rewards of learning.
